The foundations of any successful organisation lies at the strategic level and the importance of an enthusiastic, experienced and challenging Board is paramount to this success. The focus of the MHA Group Board has been to lay the foundations for a strong and vibrant future for the organisaiton while at the same time, we have tried to ensure that our actions have been consistent with our long term plan, goals and vision for MHA.
We are moving into an exciting new era for the association and we have the financial capacity to be even more ambitious in our future plans. We have achieved an enormous amount since we transferred from the local authority; spending over £65 million to bring all of our tenants’ homes up to the Welsh Housing Quality Standard, building an award-winning head office with plans to increase the supply of homes to 5000 in the next couple of years. It is up to our Board to ensure we make the right choices going forward to minimise risk and maximise the organisation’s success.
The environment in which MHA operates is a rapidly evolving one, and regardless of our past successes, we cannot rest on our laurels. We must follow a path of continuous improvement, scrutinising the ways in which we operate to ensure we consistently provide excellent value for money and services which continue to be relevant to our current and future tenants’ changing requirements. Customer satisfaction is one of the highest across the sector but it is essential we remain focussed on quality, right throughout the organisation and this starts with our Directors, Chief Executive and our Board.
We believe that being on our Board has so much to offer the right candidate. You will be expected to take a keen interest in both your own and the organisation’s development.
