We’d like to inform tenants that due to a technical error in our database, the dates mentioned in your annual rent increase letter (sent back in January 2024) regarding rent free weeks were incorrect. We apologise for any confusion this may have caused. The issue has now been resolved, and we are pleased to share the correct dates with you.
Monmouthshire Housing Association has three rent free weeks on:
- 9th December 2024
- 16th December 2024
- 23rd December 2024
However, if you pay monthly, (including those on Universal Credit) the rent free weeks have already been taken into account, so you will need to pay your usual monthly amount in December. The same applies if you are in rent debt or have other debts with MHA. Paying through the rent-free weeks helps towards moving you out of debt and into a credit balance in the new year.
