Overview
Cwrt y Fynnon was created for older households looking to downsize. Incorporating a flexible design that enables the property switch between a one or two bedroom property with a separate kitchen or an open plan living space depending on the specific needs of the household.
Located on the site of disused garages, the bungalows have been built to the highest development standards using local skills, resources and equipment wherever possible.
The homes are built around a pleasant courtyard offering a low-maintenance outside space, enhancing a sense of community, whilst retaining privacy.
Built in collaboration with Cardiff University’s Welsh School of Architecture, each bungalow has been built to be sustainable and energy efficient, with a Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) of over 100.
Cwrt y Ffynnon was the winner of the 2020 ‘Innovation’ award at the prestigious Constructing Excellence in Wales awards in recognition of our unique ‘start up slim down concept’.
